Spreitenbach AG – The Biosphera Equilibrium building module is on display at the Umwelt Arena until the end of November as part of a temporary exhibition. With its solar façade, the building generates enough electricity to supply itself as well as to charge an electric car.

Biosphera Equilibrium is on display at the Umwelt Arena until 29 November, after which time the building module will be exhibited at other locations, including Rorschach in the canton of St.Gallen beginning 2 December. The exhibition is made possible by the Minergie Association, which has also certified the building as MINERGIE-P-ECO and MINERGIE-A-ECO.

Designed as a mobile building that can be exhibited at various locations, the building module has been continuously developed over the past few years. The energy supply system has also become more and more efficient. According to Nau.ch, the solar façade now covers an area of 45 square metres and generates four times more solar power than is needed to operate the house. As such, Biosphera Equilibrium can even charge an electric car – and be charged by one if needed.

Biosphera Equilibrium has been designed in a way that it can be used as an office, classroom or home. It is currently being exhibited at the Umwelt Arena as an office. Regardless of its form, the module has taken into account the latest ideas and uses the latest materials to ensure that users feels comfortable and can regenerate their senses.
