Inter-cantonal Development Concept (KEK) for the Region Seetal-Hallwilersee

LEP WEB Prj KEK Project location

Description

The region Seetal-Hallwilersee in northern Switzerland encompasses an area of 60 km2 and stretches across the cantons of Aargau and Lucerne concerning as many as thirteen communes.

KEK Project is aimed at a development concept meeting strategic development goals and concrete implementation measures (including 2-3 immediately implementable initial projects) for this region. The cooperation between communes and also between the cantons Aargau and Lucerne is specifically emphasized here.

The development of a concept for such a region is a complex and challenging matter due to desired convergence of interests across borders. Interactive tools such as workshops, surveys, interviews etc. where all stake holders from involved communes including also the villages within treated perimeter are involved, reserve significant importance in the process.
