New York – The billionaire Marc Lore plans to establish a new city called Telosa in the American desert. Telosa is planned to be the most sustainable city in the world, offering space for around 5 million inhabitants. The city has been designed by the Danish architecture firm BIG.

The American entrepreneur and billionaire Marc Lore is planning a new city in the western USA. It should rise up from the desert and become the most sustainable city in the world according to an article on the Archdaily platform. In 40 years, around 5 million people should be living there.

BIG, the office of Danish star architect Bjarke Ingels, is responsible for planning the project, which is called Telosa. BIG is planning a safe, networked city with a high quality of life and close proximity to nature. It is relying on renewable energy and autonomous mobility to do so. According to a report from the American TV channel CNN, Telosa was built on the basis of a”15-minute city design”. This means that inhabitants can reach their workplace, school, and other important institutes in a quarter of an hour at most.

There are plans for a skyscraper called Equitism Tower to be built in the center of the city as a “beacon for the city”. The building is to be fitted with water storage and aeroponic farms. The plans include a photovoltaic installation on the roof.

“We have a chance to prove a new model for society that offers people a higher quality of life and greater opportunity,” Lore states in the article by Archdaily. “When I look out 30 years from now, I imagine Equitism serving as a blueprint for other cities — and even the world — and Telosa being a place of pride for all who live there.”
